My first hand drawn animation (Mid 2009)

So, this technically is not my first hand-drawn animation since I did tend to draw flipbook animations on post-it-notes when I was a wee lad, but I like to think of this as my first.

Finished Cake Topper for my Sister's Wedding!

I roughly modeled the outfits off of what they'd be wearing (My sister wore a short-sleeved jacket for example), but I made some stylistic choices as well. It's hard to tell in the photos, but from above the bottom of the dress looks like a heart. Height: 4.25"

3-Point Perspective: "This is a place of Evil..."

Farmer Taylor couldn't help but notice that his long time friend and neighbor, Billy Porter, was late in harvesting his crops. The eerie silhouette of the Porter's barn drew Taylor near. With each footstep closer, Farmer Taylor could make out a little clearer the masses of spider silk covering the silo and walls of the barn.

3-point drawn on 14'x17' marker paper - inked with micron tech pens. Value is 100% prismacolor - I didn't get the level of blending that I was hoping for in the sky, but one day I'll probably redo it all inphotoshop. This was more of an experiment for testing the paper's reaction to the marker

2-point Perspective: Street Sweeper

This was a 2-Point perspective project in which we had to draw a utility vehicle. I chose a street sweeper just because I find them to be such interesting pieces of machinery. This one started to look like a sad little puppy or a little pig to me, so I ran with it and tried to accentuate that characteristic.

Insect Concept - Modeling

The results so far for my insect concept, modeled in Maya and Mudbox. I'll be cloning the leg and the wing once I've finished the detail on them.
